The Kaptain has been spinning records and entertaining listeners since 1973—over 50 years of bringing joy through music! Throughout his career, he's played many kinds of music at different radio stations, but his true love has always been dance music.
His passion for the dance hits of the 60's, 70's, and 80's is what led to the creation of the Kaptain Kranch Dance Party. From the early soul and Motown grooves to the new wave sounds of the 80s, the Kaptain has been there through it all.
But if you ask him about his favorite era, he'll tell you without hesitation: the late 70's disco era. Those were the days of Studio 54, mirror balls, and infectious beats that got everyone on the dance floor. That golden age of disco—with legends like Donna Summer, the Bee Gees, and Chic—holds a special place in the Kaptain's heart and continues to inspire every show.
